Federal Direct PLUS Loan
An education loan which parents can borrow on behalf of their dependent children. PLUS loans are also available to graduate and professional students. See DCL GEN-06-02 for additional information. As part of the Federal Direct Loan Program, Direct PLUS Loans are made directly by the federal government (rather than a private lender) through participating schools. Compare Federal PLUS Loan.
