Direct Loan Training Information

Overview

Federal Student Aid provides training in a variety of formats, including live Internet webinars and computer-based training.

  • Webinars allow school participants to receive Federal Student Aid instructor-led, online training from their desktops.
  • Computer-based training that can be completed as convenient to the school
  • Publications and written materials that provide helpful information about the Direct Loan program are posted and can be referenced as needed

Webinar Training

The William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program webinar suite consists of six 90-minute instructor led sessions related to key aspects of the Direct Loan program. We will offer the entire webinar training suite during October, November, and December 2009. Additional sessions will be announced for Spring 2010.

The Direct Loan webinar training suite consists of the following sessions:

  • Direct Loan Processing in COD for New Participants
  • Direct Loan Programmatic Primer
  • Direct Loan Systems Primer
  • Direct Loan Reconciliation
  • Direct Loan Tools
  • Direct Loan Reports

Computer-Based Training
