Subpart 5--Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarships

Extension of Program; Technical Amendments

SEC. 417. (a) Section 419C(b)(1) of the Act is amended--

(1) by striking out "section 419D(b)" and inserting in lieu thereof "section 419C(b)"; and

(2) by adding "and" at the end thereof.

(b) Section 419D of the Act is amended--

(1) in subsection (a), by striking out "section 419K" and "section 419E" and inserting in lieu thereof "section 419I" and "section 419D", respectively; and

(2) in subsection (d), by striking out "Public Law 95-1134" and inserting in lieu thereof "Public Law 95-134".

(c) Section 419G(b) of the Act is amended by striking out "selected from" and inserting in lieu thereof "selected for new scholarships each fiscal year".

(d) Section 419K of the Act is amended by striking out "$10,000,000 for fiscal year 1993" and inserting in lieu thereof "$39,300,000 for fiscal year 1999,".

(e) Subpart 6 of part A of title IV of the Act is further amended--

(1) by redesignating sections 419C, 419D, 419E, 419F, 419G, 419H, 419J, and 419K as sections 419B, 419C, 419D, 419E, 419F, 419G, 419H, and 419I, respectively; and

(2) by redesignating such subpart as subpart 5 of part A of title IV of the Act.
