The Success Express journeyed to Hickman, Kentucky to visit Fulton County Public Schools' Family and Parent Resource Center. Kentucky Governor Paul Patton, U.S. Representative Ed Whitfield, Interim Commissioner of Education Kevin Noland and educators and parents welcomed Secretary Riley to Hickman.

Fulton County Public Schools Superintendent Charles Holiday expressed appreciation to the secretary since the district had been awarded GEAR UP and 21st Century Community Learning Centers grants from the U.S. Department of Education. Superintendent Holiday said this federal grant funding will help give all children the opportunity to attend college or pursue the vocation of their choice.
