DATE: August 28, 2000 Secretary Riley was the keynote speaker at a community supper held at Solomon Middle School in Greenville, Mississippi. Over 300 community leaders - including Governor Ronnie Musgrove and U.S. Representative Bennie Thompson attended the event. Secretary Riley congratulated the Greenville community for being awarded $2.5 million from the federal government in Qualified Zone Academy Bonds (QZAB). Greenville raised over $250,000 in monetary or in-kind contributions for school construction in order to be eligible for the QZAB dollars. Photo
