Learning Opportunities for Adults in Public Libraries:

Fast Response Survey on Adult Services in Public Libraries

PLLI is working with OERI's National Center for Education Statistics(NCES)and the National Library of Education(NLE) to plan and develop a fast response survey on lifelong learning opportunities for adults in public libraries. The survey will collect data on services, programming and resources provided by libraries for adults; service delivery methods; community-based collaborations; and other important issues. Results of the adult services survey will enable educators, policymakers, and librarians to work more closely to provide services and programs that meet the varied needs of the communities they serve. The survey will take place in FY 1999 and the report is expected in FY 2000. For further information contact Norman_Brant@ed.gov.
