Mathematics Preparation of Teachers


The Mathematics Education of Teachers Project has established a consortium of major mathematics professional organizations to jointly prepare recommendations and strategies for bringing about significant improvement in the mathematics education of future teachers. This project will produce a document that gives guidelines for the mathematical preparation and continued development of teachers. The consortium will also play an active role in the dissemination, interpretation, and implementation of the guidelines through key conferences, publications, and web discussion groups.
