We invite you to the home page of the National Educational Research Policy and Priorities Board, a Federal advisory body established by the Congress and appointed by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education to work in collaboration with the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI).

Our mutual goal is to establish a national consensus on a long-term agenda for educational research, development, and dissemination, and for the activities of the Office. The Board also confers with authorities in the field of education and with interested citizens to define research needs and to solicit suggestions for research topics. The Board meets quarterly in Washington, D.C., or in other parts of the country. Our meetings are open to the public and are announced in the Federal Register and in the Meetings section.
