Program 2: Middle and High School Studies

Co-Directors: James McPartland at Johns Hopkins University and Velma Lapoint at Howard University

This program focuses primarily on the development, evaluation, and dissemination of the Talent Development Middle School (TDMS) and the Talent Development High School (TDHS). Versions of these approaches for serving secondary students who have been placed at risk for school failure are being developed at both Hopkins and Howard Universities. Other studies focusing on retention, dropout prevention, and dropout recovery also take place in Program II.
