

Project Description: Education and Achievement of African American Males is examining both broad-based and targeted school and classroom level strategies for improving African American male educational and occupational achievement. Using national data sets (NELS88, HSB, and NAEP), analyses activities focused on describing trends and developments in the status of African American male educational and occupational achievement, and examining educational and labor market pipeline factors that contribute to continuing patterns of African American male under achievement.
