Duncan Names Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue to National Assessment Governing Board

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan has appointed Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue (R) to the National Assessment Governing Board. Gov. Perdue's term will end Sept. 30, 2012.

The board sets policy for the National Assessment of Educational progress (NAEP), sometimes referred to as “The Nation's Report Card.”
