Deputy Education Secretary to Keynote Symposium Celebrating 50 Most Important African-Americans in Technology

Deputy Education Secretary Tony Miller will deliver the keynote address at the 11th annual 50 Most Important African-Americans in Technology Symposium on Saturday, Jan. 15, at 9:30 a.m. The event, entitled “Innovation and Equity: Spurring Manufacturing Through Innovation in Black Communities,” will be in the Lincoln Theater in Washington, D.C.

Assistant Secretary to Visit Mahalia Jackson Early Childhood & Family Learning Center and Deliver Remarks

U.S. Department of Education Assistant Secretary Thelma Meléndez de Santa Ana will visit Mahalia Jackson Early Childhood & Family Learning Center on Friday, Jan. 14 in New Orleans. During her visit, Meléndez de Santa Ana will tour the school and deliver brief remarks on the need for a comprehensive, collaborative approach to building language and literacy from birth through adulthood.
