U.S. Under Secretary of Education to Discuss Community-Based College Access and Success Initiatives

U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will address community-based college advisers at the annual conference for National College Access Network (NCAN) on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. The event will be held at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C.
The Under Secretary will discuss the Administration's college access and success initiatives and the ways that community-based organizations can be more involved. NCAN is an organization that aspires to build, strengthen and empower communities committed to college access and success so that all students, especially those underrepresented in postsecondary education, can achieve their educational dreams. Its members provide advising services to students and their families, among others.
