TORONTO—U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will visit Weston Collegiate Institute and participate in an international education symposium—“The Building Blocks for Education: Whole System Reform”—on Monday, Sept. 13. The high school visit to Weston Collegiate Institute, located at 100 Pine St., will take place at 12:30 p.m. The Secretary’s speech at the symposium will get underway later that afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at the Fairmont Royal Hotel, 100 Front St. West.
The two-day symposium, which takes place Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 13-14, will bring together experts and education policy makers from six countries. Participants will share ideas and look at new ways to help solve the challenges facing students in Canada and around the world.
