U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will join Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, U.S. Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, and Connecticut Commissioner of Education Stefan Pryor for a visit to University High School of Science and Engineering in Hartford where they will hold a town hall discussion focusing on “College Readiness, Access and Affordability” on Monday, May 19 at 1:40 p.m. Sonia Dinnall, director, College & Career Readiness, Hartford Public Schools, will moderate their roundtable discussion with 10 seniors, and the audience will include juniors and seniors from University High School as well as parents and stakeholders. All the students are planning to attend college in the fall.
