U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan to Honor National Blue Ribbon Schools in Washington, D.C.

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will honor the nation’s 2012 National Blue Ribbon Schools on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 12:30 p.m. ET, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors K-12 public and private elementary, middle and high schools where students perform at very high levels or where significant improvements are being made in students’ levels of academic achievement.

Representatives from the 314 schools being honored this year will be available to the news media. A list of the 2012 National Blue Ribbon Schools is available at http://www.ed.gov/nationalblueribbonschools.
