U.S. Educational Technology Director Richard Culatta to Address Broadband Coalition Forum

Richard Culatta, director of the U.S. Education Department's Office of Educational Technology, will address the annual conference of the Schools, Health and Libraries Broadband (SHLB) Coalition Thursday in Washington, D.C.

Culatta will discuss the administration's ConnectED and ConnectEDucator initiatives and the important role that teachers and librarians play in improving America's educational capacity through digital learning.

As the department's educational technology director, Culatta focuses on leveraging technology to create personalized learning experiences for all students. His office strives for increased connectivity to improve access to education and to make college more affordable.

The Schools, Health and Libraries Broadband Coalition was created in 2009 to help address the shortage of adequate broadband for anchor institutions and their communities.
