U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will deliver the keynote address at the American Bar Association Section of Litigation's Fall Leadership Meeting at noon Saturday in Chicago. Secretary Duncan will discuss the role that lawyers can play in advancing educational equity, bolstering civics education, and improving educational performance.
Following his remarks, Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Russlynn Ali will join a panel of education lawyers in addressing, among other topics, how attorneys can help tackle the civil rights challenges facing America's public education system. About 300 litigation lawyers are expected for the event.
