U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will address the National PTA’s Annual Legislative Conference tomorrow morning at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Crystal City, Va. He will discuss second-term priorities and the effects of sequestration on parents and families, followed by a Q & A session.
At noon, Deb Delisle, assistant secretary for elementary and secondary education, will give brief remarks and then co-host a National School Safety Town Hall with National PTA President Betsy Landers. They will be joined by a panel of experts in school safety and violence prevention.
