U.S. Education Official to Visit San Diego for Remarks to Vocational Rehabilitation Gatherings

Lynnae Ruttledge, commissioner of the U.S. Department of Education's Rehabilitation Services Administration, will travel to San Diego for appearances Saturday, Sunday and Monday at events related to vocational rehabilitation programs for people with disabilities.
On Saturday, Ruttledge will deliver remarks at the National Rehabilitation Leadership Institute Alumni Session, while on Sunday, she will address the National Coalition of State Rehabilitation Councils. On Monday, she will speak to the Council of State Administrators for Vocational Rehabilitation. At the events, all of which will be held at the Sheraton Harbor Island Hotel, Ruttledge will provide an update on key RSA activities. As commissioner, Ruttledge oversees grant programs that help individuals with physical or mental disabilities obtain employment and live more independently through such supports as counseling, medical and psychological services, job training and other individualized services.
