U.S. Education Department Official to Deliver Opening Keynote at Educational Policy Institute Retention 2010 Conference in Chicago

The U.S. Department of Education’s Greg Darnieder will deliver the opening keynote address to the Educational Policy Institute’s Retention 2010 conference at 9 a.m. CT, Thursday, June 10, at the Hilton Palmer House in Chicago. Darnieder is senior advisor to U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan on the College Access Initiative.
Darnieder will discuss President Obama’s goal to have the best educated, most competitive workforce in the world by 2020 and the Department’s efforts to realize that goal. EPI’s Retention 2010 is an international conference focused on student success and persistence in high school and postsecondary education.
