John Wilson, executive director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and Christina Lagdameo, deputy director of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, will deliver remarks at the 2011 Kellogg Fellows Leadership Alliance Forum at AARP’s office in Washington, D.C. They will participate in a plenary session on “Shifting Landscapes in Higher Education: Shared Goals and Different Pathways” at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3. During their remarks, Wilson and Lagdameo will highlight the overarching goals of the White House Initiatives, explain how policy will influence these goals and discuss the role of civic engagement in working with their respective constituent groups.
The Kellogg Fellows Leadership Alliance Forum is under way today, Wednesday, March 2, through Saturday, March 5. The Alliance was founded in 2002. Its mission is to identify and implement solutions to complex challenges by expanding the work and the impact of Kellogg Fellows in collaboration with local leaders, one another and other foundations’ leadership alumni groups.
