U.S. Department of Education Senior Official to Visit Colorado, Deliver Remarks at Far Northeast Community Committee Meeting and Hold Discussion after “Waiting for Superman” Spanish Screening

Alberto Retana, the U.S. Department of Education’s director of community outreach, will deliver remarks at the Far Northeast Community Committee (FNECC) meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Rachel B. Noel Middle School in Denver.

On Wednesday, Retana will attend a special Spanish speaking screening of “Waiting for Superman” with more than 200 people from A+ Denver, Stand for Children, KIPP Colorado, ACE and Padres y Jovenes Unidos. Retana will participate in a follow-up discussion about school turnaround efforts, after the screening.
