U.S. Department of Education Deputy Assistant Secretary Carl Harris will participate in a roundtable at the Atlantic Philanthropies’ Elev8 Superintendents Convening from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the Phoenix Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. Dr. Harris will join in a discussion on the work of the Elev8 program in school districts and how leaders can work together to support the success of students who are most in need. Specifically, he will discuss how the Department is working to support innovation at the school district level.
The Atlantic Philanthropies is an international foundation supporting Elev8 programs in three U.S. cities and three locations in the state of New Mexico. Elev8 brings together schools, families and the community in underserved neighborhoods to ensure that students succeed in school and in life.
