Hal Plotkin, senior policy advisor to the U.S. Under Secretary of Education, will visit Google Headquarters in Mountain View, Calif., Tuesday, March 29 to talk to employees and "friends of Google" about the Administration's higher education plans, policies, and proposals. Plotkin's presentation is entitled "How Technology Can Improve Teaching and Learning: The Case for Open Educational Resources." Plotkin, a former community college board president, is a senior policy advisor whose focus is college completion, quality, access and affordability.
The Under Secretary's Office coordinates policies, programs, and activities related to vocational and adult education, postsecondary education, college aid, and the President's financial reforms for the Pell Grant program.
