Cator, the Department’s director of educational technology, also will help celebrate the district’s successes and challenge them to achieve even more as they start the new school year.
Located about 25 miles north of Charlotte, Mooresville Graded is a school district of 5400 students. It seeks to realize its philosophy of "every child, every day" through the innovative use of 21st century tools. Three years ago MGSD began implementing a digital conversion that provided a laptop to every student in grades four through 12, and placed interactive whiteboards in every classroom, grades K through three.
