Jim Shelton, assistant deputy secretary for innovation and improvement at the U.S. Department of Education, will participate in Arizona State University's Education Innovation Summit on Tuesday, April 5, at the Royal Palms in Phoenix. During his remarks at the opening reception, Shelton will address how to educate in a rapidly changing world and how to use information and technology to produce meaningful change in education. Shelton also will praise the work that ASU, in partnership with private sector advisors, is doing to address these challenges through collaborative partnerships with entrepreneurs, educators, researchers and investors.
The summit will take place April 5-7. The opening reception is in Phoenix and remaining sessions will take place at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center, in Scottsdale. Participants will include education innovation companies, investors and business leaders
