U.S. Department of Education Deputy Assistant Secretary Carl Harris will give welcoming remarks at the Centennial Convention of the National Association of University Women (NAUW) Tuesday, August 3 in Washington, D.C. Harris will talk about the importance of community partnerships in working to improve the educational outcomes of youth. Attendees will include NAUW members, the general public, D.C. public school students and college students.
Founded in Washington, D.C. in 1924, the NAUW serves women, youth and the disadvantaged in our communities and in developing countries by addressing educational issues, advancing the status of women's issues, and strategically partnering with allied organizations
