U.S. Department of Education Senior Advisor to Discuss Priorities for Early Learning and Participate in Parenting Magazine’s Mom Congress® Town Hall Meeting

U.S. Department of Education Senior Advisor for Early Learning Jacqueline Jones will deliver keynote remarks and participate in a question and answer session at Parenting magazine’s Mom Congress® Town Hall on Friday, Nov. 5 in Anaheim, Calif.
Dr. Jones will discuss the U. S. Department of Education’s early learning initiatives and the Administration’s commitment to improving health, social-emotional and cognitive outcomes for children, especially high-need children. Following her address, Dr. Jones will join Parenting magazine’s deputy editor Stephanie Wood and Dr. Elanna Yalow, executive vice president, Knowledge Universe (KU) in a Town Hall Q&A discussion with the audience.
Mom Congress®, a grassroots initiative created by Parenting magazine to celebrate and connect families advocating for quality education, is teaming with Knowledge Universe (KU), the parent company of Kindercare Learning Centers (KLC), to present a Town-Hall style event focused on early literacy awareness to attendees of the 2010 National Association for the Education of Young Children Conference, as well as members of the local education community, parents and caregivers, and Mom Congress® members.
