Under Secretary Martha Kanter to Address Illinois Board of Higher Education

U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will highlight the Obama administration’s key initiatives to increase educational attainment and close the achievement gap in remarks to the Illinois Board of Higher Education at 1:45 p.m. CT, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.

In her remarks to the presidents and chancellors of Illinois’ public universities as well as leaders from state government and the broader higher education community, Kanter will discuss efforts underway to reach the President’s goal of having the best educated workforce in the world by the year 2020.
