Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will engage in a conversation about higher education attainment and affordability during The Education Equation Policy Forum on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 12:15 p.m. The event, which is sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and the University of Texas at Austin’s Texas Center for Education Policy, will be held at UT Austin’s Etter-Harbin Alumni Center.
The three-hour forum is expected to draw about 200 community leaders, policy advisors, bankers and academic specialists. They will discuss a variety of issues in postsecondary education, including factors that affect its value and strategies for closing the gap in minority participation. Kanter will address the importance of improving access to higher education during her remarks before a short question-and-answer session.
