Senior U.S. Education Official to Visit Emerson Elementary School and Discuss School Improvement

U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary Jason Snyder will visit Emerson Elementary School on Thursday, May 17, at 9:30 a.m. CT, in Kansas City, Kan. The school is using School Improvement Grant funds to turn around the school and to improve student achievement. Since 2009, the state of Kansas has received $35.5 million in SIG awards.
