Frank Chong, deputy assistant secretary for community colleges in the Office of Vocational and Adult Education, will discuss technological advances in learning during the 18th annual Workforce Development Institute in Newport Beach, Calif. Chong will address the general session on Friday, Jan. 28, from 8-9 a.m. in the Plaza Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach.
During the session, entitled “New Dimensions of Learning: Innovations and Access,” Chong will highlight his perspective of learning empowered by technology and discuss the Department’s National Education Technology Plan. His remarks will be delivered in tandem with Elliott Masie, who heads The Learning Consortium and The Masie Center, a think tank based in New York. The conference, which is convened by the American Association of Community Colleges, is designed as a comprehensive program for community college-based workforce service providers.
