Senior Education Advisor to Discuss Efforts to Increase Postsecondary Access at Chamber of Commerce Annual Convention

Greg Darnieder, the U.S. Department of Education's senior advisor on the College Access Initiative, will participate on a panel on postsecondary education attainment at the annual convention of the American Council of Chamber Executives (ACCE) on Wed., July 24, at 11:15 a.m. CT in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Entitled "Education: A New Corporate-Civic Approach," the panel will focus on innovative steps being taken by businesses, foundations and government to increase postsecondary education attainment and improve our country's economic competitiveness. Darnieder will discuss the Department’s FAFSA Completion Project aimed at maximizing college enrollment.

The ACCE is a national association that serves individuals involved in the management of chambers of commerce of all sizes across the United States and Canada. With more than 7,500 professional members in 1,200 local, regional and state chambers of commerce, ACCE's mission is to support and develop chamber professionals to lead businesses and their communities. "Momentum" is the theme of the 2013 annual convention.
