Juan Sepulveda, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans, will give keynote remarks at the commencement ceremony of St. Philip’s College on Friday, May 6, at 7:00 p.m. in San Antonio, Tex. Sepulveda will highlight the issues behind Latino degree completion and discuss the Obama Administration’s strategies to increase Hispanic students’ access to a quality education and improve their rates of educational attainment to keep America competitive in a global economy. Hispanics comprise nearly half the student body at St. Philip’s College.
