Senior Advisor for Nonprofit Partnerships Michael Robbins to Serve as Panelist at National Leadership Summit on Online Learning

Michael Robbins, the U.S. Department of Education's senior advisor for nonprofit partnerships, will serve as a panelist at the National Leadership Summit on Online Learning, hosted by the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, Feb. 28. His remarks will focus on how blended learning—online and site-based learning—could dramatically reshape how community-based organizations partner with schools and parents.

The summit will explain trends in policy and practice of online and blended learning and virtual schools in K-12 education. It also will help clarify some of the most pressing issues and explore topics in current events. The panel will develop a common understanding of what is meant by online and blended learning by showing the diversity of approaches to online learning, such as state virtual schools, full-time charters, district programs, blended learning, and after school programs.
