Michael Robbins, the U.S. Department of Education's senior advisor for nonprofit partnerships, will serve as a panelist at the National Leadership Summit on Online Learning, hosted by the International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, Feb. 28. His remarks will focus on how blended learningonline and site-based learningcould dramatically reshape how community-based organizations partner with schools and parents.
The summit will explain trends in policy and practice of online and blended learning and virtual schools in K-12 education. It also will help clarify some of the most pressing issues and explore topics in current events. The panel will develop a common understanding of what is meant by online and blended learning by showing the diversity of approaches to online learning, such as state virtual schools, full-time charters, district programs, blended learning, and after school programs.
