Lynnae Ruttledge, commissioner of the Rehabilitation Services Administration, will present the keynote address at the Southeast Region National Rehabilitation Association/North Carolina Rehabilitation Association Annual Training Conference Wednesday, Sept. 8 in Asheville, N.C. Attendees will include 250-300 vocational rehabilitation counselors, evaluators, therapists, and rehabilitation vendors. Ruttledge will update attendees on federal legislation, talk about her role as RSA Commissioner and give her perspective on effective partnerships in the field of vocational rehabilitation.
The Rehabilitation Services Administration oversees grant programs that help people with physical or mental disabilities obtain employment and live more independently through such supports as counseling, job training, and other services.
“The Arts and Crafts of Rehabilitation” is the theme of this year’s conference, which runs from Sept. 7-10.
