Event Date 1: January 24, 2011 09:00 am - 10:30 am
Please join Secretary Duncan as we kick off the New Year with 2011's first Education Stakeholders Forum on Monday, January 24th, 2011, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., at the Department's LBJ Building, 400 Maryland Avenue, SW, in Washington, DC. As with our previous forums, the meeting will take place in Barnard Auditorium.
Along with updated information regarding the School Improvement Grant (SIG) program and the Department's new initiative for sharing state data profiles, forum attendees will also hear the Secretary outline the Department's legislative and programmatic priorities for 2011, and as always, have ample time for Q&A.
To register, please send an e-mail to EDstakeholder@ed.gov including your name, organization, and title; please be sure to include the date of the forum in the subject line. In addition, we will be live streaming the forum, in an effort to make the information shared readily available to your members and staff outside of Washington, DC. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the 24th, stakeholders wishing to listen in to the forum's proceedings can click on http://www.ustream.tv/channel/education-department . (No registration for this live streaming is necessary.)
