Executive Director of White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities to Give Commencement Address at J.F. Drake State Technical College

John Silvanus Wilson, Jr., executive director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) will deliver the commencement address to approximately 280 graduating students at J.F. Drake State Technical College's graduation ceremony at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, in the Von Braun Center South Hall in Huntsville, Ala. Wilson will discuss national education challenges, with emphasis on the President's 2020 goal to once again lead the world in college completion. His remarks will specifically address the role HBCUs and community colleges play in helping achieve the 2020 goal, and the role they play in preparing our nation's students to win the future.
