Lauderdale, Fla. He will discuss the strategies focused on leveraging a collective effort to advance student success.

"Engaging Families in the Age of Common Core" is a 3-day interactive conference to review pioneering research and strategies that focus on the use of literacy within families, communities, and schools to bolster academic achievement.

During the conference, participants will have an opportunity to learn about federal policy and best practices related to family and community engagement, build new partnerships and collaborations with educators, national organizations, and community leaders, and discover new strategies and innovative solutions to help districts think differently about integrating family engagement into academic reform plans and curriculum designs.

The goal of the symposium is to assist in the collaboration of school and community groups across the county, share new research and innovative strategies, and have a dialogue seeking to spark a call-to-action with dedicated support in family and community engagement.
