Education Under Secretary Joins Labor Assistant Secretary to Discuss Role of Research in Job Creation

Education Under Secretary Martha Kanter will join Department of Labor Assistant Secretary Jane Oates to discuss the role of programs and research in job creation and workforce development during the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) Grants Resource Center proposal development workshop. The three-day forum will be held at the Sofitel Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Kanter and Oates will address administrators and educators from colleges and universities around the country at the event, which will bring together proposal developers and school officials to discuss successful strategies. Their remarks will highlight discretionary grant funding available through programs such as the Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training program and career and technical education programs.
