Education Secretary Duncan, other Education Department Officials, to participate in Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 40th Annual Legislative Conference

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Russlynn Ali and John Wilson, Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities, will participate in several sessions during the Congressional Black Caucus’ 40th Annual Legislative Conference Sept. 16-17 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

Duncan will participate in a panel discussion at the National Town Hall Meeting: Educating Our Way to Prosperity, on Thursday Sept. 16, at 9:15 a.m. The panel will focus on education reforms needed to better prepare African Americans for future jobs.

Ali and Wilson will make remarks and be on other panels during the conference. See below for details.
