Education Secretary Duncan to Discuss Role of Philanthropy in Supporting Education Reform

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will join leaders in New York City on Monday, June 4, to highlight the key role that the philanthropic sector can play in driving education reform at the national, state and local level during Philanthropy New York’s 33rdAnnual Meeting. Duncan will join New York State Education Commissioner John B. King and New York City Chancellor Dennis Walcott for the discussion, which will be moderated by WNYC education correspondent Beth Fertig.
