Education Secretary to Discuss Strengthening U.S. Economy Through Improving Education, Empowering Americans with Financial Skills

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will address hundreds of key business leaders at the 54th annual Investment Company Institute General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, May 9. At the event, Duncan will discuss how to best prepare students to compete in a global economy, highlighting the role American mutual fund companies and other firms can play in improving the education system and catalyzing efforts to increase Americans’ financial knowledge and skills.
Duncan will join ICI President Paul Schott Stevens for the session and will take questions from the audience following their discussion. The event will be held at 3:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 9, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C
