The Office of Migrant Education (OME) helps to support migrant children, youth, agricultural workers and fishers, and their families, with the ultimate goal of improving their educational opportunities and academic success. OME administers grant programs that provide academic and supportive services to the children of families who migrate to find work in the agricultural and fishing industries. OME also administers several contracts and special initiatives.

The goal of the conference is to provide a venue for migrant education professionals to focus on a shared vision of success through service. The conference will provide opportunities for key Migrant Education Program staff to participate and engage in meaningful dialogue on topics such as identification and recruitment, migrant student information exchange, promising practices, and program success.
