Education Department to Hold Two Days of Public Meetings for Clarifying Comments on Gainful Employment Proposal

The U.S. Department of Education is hosting public meetings on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 4-5, to hear oral presentations from individuals and organizations who submitted comments on the proposed rule on gainful employment, which was published in the Federal Register on July 26. The meetings will be held at the Department headquarters at 400 Maryland Ave., S.W., in Washington, D.C.
The meetings will take place in the morning and afternoon on both days for a total of four sessions. They will accommodate approximately 80 pre-registered presenters, providing them an opportunity to clarify their written comments and answer questions from Education Department staff.
Additionally, the Department has hosted more than 30 private sessions with various organizations to allow groups to gain further feedback.
