Director of White House Hispanic Education Initiative to Deliver Keynote at Kansas State University's Encuentro Celebration

Juan Sepúlveda, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans, will give the keynote address during the Kansas State University Encuentro Celebration at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12. The event will be held at the K-State Alumni Center in Manhattan, Kan.

During the one-day event, Sepúlveda will discuss the Administration's strategies to increase Latino students' access to a quality education and improve their rates of education attainment in order to keep the U.S. competitive in the global marketplace. In addition, he will underscore the impact Hispanic students in postsecondary institutions can have on younger generations.
