Deputy Education Secretary to Keynote Symposium Celebrating 50 Most Important African-Americans in Technology

Deputy Education Secretary Tony Miller will deliver the keynote address at the 11th annual 50 Most Important African-Americans in Technology Symposium on Saturday, Jan. 15, at 9:30 a.m. The event, entitled “Innovation and Equity: Spurring Manufacturing Through Innovation in Black Communities,” will be in the Lincoln Theater in Washington, D.C.
Miller’s remarks will focus on using education to boost the nation’s global competitiveness and strengthen the economy. In addition to Miller’s participation, one of the 50 selectees is from the Department: Danny Harris, chief information officer. Harris is also an adjunct faculty member at Howard University.
