Assistant Deputy Secretary for the Office of Innovation and Improvement Jim Shelton will speak on a panel entitled “Asleep in the Classroom? A Wake-up Call From the Future” at the 25th annual South by Southwest conference Friday, March 11 in Austin, Texas. The panel will address how technology helps keep students interested in school and infuse wonder and excitement back into learning. Shelton will discuss how technology can be used to further engage students both inside and outside of the classroom and how it can help reawaken a love of learning.
South by Southwest (SXSW) is a set of film, interactive media and music festivals and conferences that take place every spring in Austin.
