Civil Rights Data Collection Announcement Today at 1:30 p.m.

School-Level Data for 72,000 Schools Serving 85 Percent of America’s Students, Covering Discipline, College Readiness, School Finance and Retention by Race, Disability Status

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, along with Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Russlynn Ali, will announce the release of the Civil Rights Data Collection, Part II (CRDC) at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Howard University in Washington, D.C. This far-reaching survey covers 72,000 schools serving 85 percent of America’s students, with self-reported school-level data on discipline, college readiness, teacher equity and retention according to race and disability status, among other data.
